Australian Government and Austrade Officials Engage with Curtin Colombo on Education Initiatives

Curtin Colombo welcomed a high-profile delegation from the Australian Government and Austrade for a strategic meeting with its top management. The session, which involved key discussions on Australian education, transnational education, and pathway programs, highlighted the evolving trends and future directions in these sectors.
The delegation, which included Matthew Johnston, Minister-Counsellor (Education and Research) for South Asia, and Nathaniel Webb, First Secretary (Education and Research) from the Department of Education, as well as Vik Singh, Consul Commercial and Trade & Investment Commissioner, and Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Director Trade & Investment – Education, Bangladesh, engaged in productive dialogue with Curtin Colombo’s top management team.
Curtin Colombo’s representatives included Dr. Athula Pitigala Arachchi, CEO; Prof. Mahesha Kapurubandara, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SLIIT International; Mr. Uditha Gamage, COO; and Ms. Anjalie Gamage, Acting Head of Academic Affairs.
The meeting reinforced Curtin Colombo’s ongoing role in facilitating educational exchanges and partnerships between Australia and Sri Lanka, aiming to enhance the academic and professional opportunities available to students in both regions.
